Chicago Blade Runners is a group dedicated to helping amputees who are interested in running. We have over 20 members who range from competitive athletes to recreational runners, and we compete in several 5Ks throughout the summer. All of our athletes are paired with a volunteer guide that accompanies them throughout the entire race. Our goal is to encourage amputees of all levels to experience the excitement of crossing the finish line.

Since 2009, the Blade Runners have participated in several RAM races, as well as other races in the Chicago area. As the featured charity of the 2012 Terrapin 5K, the Blade Runners intend to have a large group of amputees at Terrapin both racing and volunteering.
