Q: Do I have to register online?

A: Yes, registration is only available online.

Q: What time is the race?

A: The 5K will start at 7:00 pm

Q: My name is spelled wrong, age is wrong, etc.

A: No problem! You can go back into your RAM Racing account and update your personal information at any time.

Q: I registered and now I won’t be able to participate; can I still pick up my gear bag and goodies?

A: Yes, please stop by and pick up your bib and gear bag. No gear bags will be mailed.

Q: I won’t be able to participate; can I transfer my registration to next year?

A: No, we are sorry but there are no transfers of registration to another person or until next year.

Q: I am not in the same corral as my friend/family member and we want to run together. How do I switch?

A: If you would like to move up to a faster corral, pick up your race number at the Expo/Packet Pick up and then proceed to the “Customer Care” table to be re-assigned to the appropriate corral. To move back to a slower corral, simply start in that corral on race morning. No official corral change is necessary.

Q:I have a friend who would like to volunteer, can he help?

A: Yes, please email dlample@ramracing.org for more information.

Q: Can a friend or family member pickup my packet?

A: Yes.  Please send them with your race confirmation email including race confirmation code.

Q: Is Gear Check available on Race Day?

A: Gear check will be available race day to all registered participants from 5PM-9PM. We will only accept the 12 x 18 clear plastic Uline bags provided to you at packet pick up and on race day. RAM Racing is not responsible for lost, damaged or misplaced items.  Please have the gear check tab from your bib adhered to your bag prior to entering the gear check lines.

Q: Are strollers, bicycles, or pets allowed on the course?

A: No strollers, bicycles or pets are allowed on the 5K course.

Q: Are any ear buds or headphones allowed on the course?

A: No, on parts of the course athletes share the road with vehicles, your safety is our number one concern.

Q: Are walkers allowed on the course?

A: Yes, as long as they can keep pace with the 15 min mile

Q: Are there aid stations and port-o-potties along the course?

A: There is one aid stations with port-o-potties on the course situated at 31st St & lakefront path.

Q: What will be served at the aid stations?

A: Water and Gatorade.

Q: How do I get to the course by driving?

A: Please refer to Race Info page on the Terrapin web site.

Q: Where should I park if I’m driving?

A: Please refer to Race Info page or Soldierfield.net

Q: What happens if I can’t finish the course?

A: There is a sag vehicle on the course that will pick you up and assist you. There is also medical assistance available if needed.

Q: Is the race fee refundable?

A: There are no refunds, transfers or reassignments to another individual.

Q: Who is eligible for medals and awards?

A: Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each age division and the top three overall male and female participants.

Q: What do I receive after the race?

A: There will post race refreshments and food available at the post race party.

Q: Is there a course completion limit for the race?

A: Yes, a 15 minute mile pace or faster is required for the 5k. A 15 min. mile pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk. If you fall below this pace, the race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Aid Stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to either move up onto the sidewalk or require you to be transported further up on course to catch up to the 15 min. per mile group.
